Mùa hè năm nay, một nhóm sinh viên từ Hà Nội đã quyết định dành kỳ nghỉ của mình cho một hành trình tình nguyện ý nghĩa tại miền Trung Việt Nam. Mục tiêu của chuyến đi là giúp đỡ những cộng đồng khó khăn, đặc biệt là sau những trận bão lụt thường xuyên tàn phá khu vực này.
This summer, a group of students from Hanoi decided to dedicate their vacation to a meaningful volunteer trip to Central Vietnam. The goal of the trip was to help disadvantaged communities, especially after the frequent storms and floods that devastate this region.
Sau một chuyến xe dài, chúng tôi đến một làng chài nhỏ ở Quảng Bình. After a long bus ride, we arrived at a small fishing village in Quảng Bình. The first sight that struck us was the houses still bearing traces of the floods, and the gentle but worried smiles of the local people. We started working the very next day: repairing damaged houses, cleaning up the school, and organizing recreational activities for the children.

What we remembered most was not the tiredness but the grateful eyes and tight hugs from the children. This was truly an unforgettable experience, teaching us about compassion and the power of human kindness.
