Tips for A2 Listening
- Read the question and answer options before listening — this helps you know what information to focus on
- Pay attention to time words like buổi sáng (morning), buổi chiều (afternoon), and day names like Thứ Bảy (Saturday)
- Numbers and prices are common A2 targets — practise hearing Vietnamese numbers quickly (e.g. bốn mươi lăm = 45, hai trăm nghìn = 200,000)
- Direction words come up frequently: thẳng (straight), phải (right), trái (left), đối diện (opposite)
- If you miss a detail, use context clues — the overall meaning of the conversation usually points to the right answer
- Watch for negation words like không and chưa — they reverse the meaning entirely
