Tips for A2 Listening
- Focus on numbers and quantities — prices, times, and counts appear in nearly every A2 dialogue, so practice recognizing Vietnamese numbers from 1 to 1,000,000 quickly.
- Listen for question words like "mấy" (how many/what number), "bao nhiêu" (how much), "thế nào" (how/what is it like), and "gì" (what) — they signal exactly what information to listen for.
- At A2 level, dialogues follow predictable patterns such as ordering food, buying items, asking directions, or discussing daily routines. Recognizing the situation early helps you predict possible answers.
- Do not panic if you miss one word — context and repeated keywords usually carry the core meaning. Vietnamese speakers in these dialogues often repeat key information.
- Pay attention to polite particles like "dạ" (respectful yes), "nhé" (invitation/agreement), and "thôi được" (alright/ok then) — they signal agreement, confirmation, or a change in the conversation.
