Hôm nay là thứ Ba. Lan đi đến bưu điện. Bưu điện ở gần nhà Lan. Lan muốn gửi một lá thư cho bạn của cô ấy ở Đà Nẵng. Lá thư quan trọng nên Lan muốn gửi nhanh. Cô ấy mang theo lá thư và tiền.
Today is Tuesday. Lan goes to the post office. The post office is near Lan's house. Lan wants to send a letter to her friend in Da Nang. The letter is important, so Lan wants to send it quickly. She brings the letter and money.
Khi đến bưu điện, có nhiều người đang chờ. Lan xếp hàng. Một lát sau, đến lượt cô ấy. Lan nói: "Chào chị. Tôi muốn gửi lá thư này đi Đà Nẵng. Tôi có thể gửi thường hay gửi nhanh ạ?". Chị nhân viên trả lời: "Chào cô. Cô muốn gửi thường là 10.000 đồng, còn gửi nhanh là 25.000 đồng ạ. Gửi nhanh sẽ mất hai ngày để đến nơi."
When she arrives at the post office, many people are waiting. Lan queues up. After a moment, it's her turn. Lan says: "Hello, miss. I want to send this letter to Da Nang. Can I send it standard or express?" The staff member replies: "Hello, madam. Standard delivery is 10,000 VND, and express delivery is 25,000 VND. Express delivery will take two days to arrive."
Lan nói: "Vâng, tôi muốn gửi nhanh ạ. Đây là lá thư và 25.000 đồng". Chị nhân viên nhận lá thư và tiền. Chị ấy đưa cho Lan một cái biên lai. Lan cảm ơn chị nhân viên và đi về nhà. Cô ấy rất vui vì lá thư sẽ đến tay bạn cô ấy sớm.
Lan says: "Yes, I want to send it express. Here is the letter and 25,000 VND." The staff member receives the letter and money. She gives Lan a receipt. Lan thanks the staff member and goes home. She is very happy that the letter will reach her friend soon.
